"Yes, but not this soon. Look why don't you join our group, it's the only thing you can do to save your life."
"No, I could save my life by not joining this group." "Okay Wayne, they're tied up now what?"
"Now we take these two down there and wait for their leader to find out what had happened to them."
Wayne and Jim waited in the bedroom for an hour and a half, taking insults from their captives. Then finally they heard keys entering the lock of the front door. Then Wayne felt a strong probe of the area. He could hide his own feeling and emotions, but his captives gave him away. Wayne heard a loud yell in his mind. He couldn't hide it anymore; he had to release protection for himself and Jim.
All of a sudden, the windows and doors opened up. The sunlight temporarily blinded everyone in the room. Wayne got up and ran out of the bedroom to meet his foe.
"Stay in here Jim and watch them."
Wayne shouted as he ran out the door. He got to the top of the stairs and looked down at a man in his thirties, same height as Wayne,' and almost as stocky as Wayne.
"Wayne this is the end of your career!"
"I'm sorry; I have no plans for an early retirement. I don't understand what you feel that you're going to gain out of this."
"The satisfaction knowing that I destroyed the guy that destroyed our leader."
"If you say so, give it your best shot." Then all of the doors on the second floor closed. Wayne
could hear Jim run to the door and try the doorknob. Wayne looked over at his foe.

He’s Alive But is a sequel to The Homza’s Son. In the first book we meet Wayne Homza. He has the ability to heal or to kill with a mere touch. Tom Brinkle tracked down Wayne hoping for a story. The two became friends. When Tom became involved in a cult Wayne came to his rescue.
Anderson returns us to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where Wayne Homza’s wife is giving birth to their first son. Anita anxiously wonders why her husband is not beside her. Wayne is lying in an ICU bed in a coma. So begins He’s Alive But. The evil cult is even more determined to rid the world of Wayne Homza. They will stop at nothing to achieve their goal. They plot to destroy anyone that remotely stands in their way. Will Wayne survive?
I’m not a big fan of horror. Matter of fact I usually avoid it. However, I made an exception with He’s Alive But. I read the first book in this series a few months ago and was curious to see how Wayne fares. I slept with the lights on after reading this series.
I would strongly suggest that Anderson combine his books in one volume. Both books are fast reads. Mark A. Anderson’s latest plot takes readers into the world of the occult. Dark rituals, blood rites and evil abound. The plot is unique and more than a bit frightening. Anderson adds enough twists and turns to keep the reader turning pages. Young Adult fans of horror will be drawn to this series.
